‘I Am Proud To Be Compared To Messi & Ronaldo’- Salah Speaks

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah admits that he “feels great” to have been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi this season.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a staggering debut season with Jurgen Klopp’s side, which will come to a conclusion on Saturday when they contest the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Salah has set a new benchmark in terms of goals in a Premier League season, netting 32 in 36 appearances, and has been one of the sensations of the last year – and it is a situation that he says he thrives upon.
“I feel great about the numbers,” he told BT Sport. “Everyone is talking about Ronaldo and Messi because they’ve been at that level of 15/13 years so I’m proud to see myself compared to them.”
Meanwhile, he has downplayed the prospect of the clash in Kiev being little more than a duel between himself and Ronaldo, with both firmly in contention to win the Ballon d’Or at the end of the year.
“It’s the final game, it’s not about Salah or Ronaldo, it’s about the clubs,” he pointed out.
“I want to make everyone proud, I want to make everyone in the city happy, in Egypt, over the world. I just need to think about the game, nothing else, just do my job.”
