Pep Guardiola Plans To Buy 3 Top Players To Reinforce Squad

Manchester City are reportedly planning to bring in three more ‘big signings’ this summer, as Pep Guardiola looks to strengthen his side following their Champions league disappointment.
The Citizens crashed out of Europe on Tuesday to cap off a nightmare week following three straight defeats – twice to Liverpool and once to rivals Manchester United.
Guardiola’s men have run away with the Premier League title this season but the club’s wait for a European crown goes on after being swept aside 5-1 on aggregate by Liverpool.
The boss is keen to build on the team’s domestic success as well as ensure a more successful challenge in Europe next season and, according to the Daily Telegraph, he will again look to strengthen his squad in the summer transfer window.
It is claimed Man City’s spending could reach £600 million over two years as Guardiola seeks to reinforce problematic areas in his squad.
The City boss is said to be targeting a defensive midfielder, another forward player as well as a centre-back.
One of those players may be Riyad Mahrez, who the Blues failed to land from Leicester in January.
Another man linked with a switch to the Etihad Stadium is Sao Paulo’s 20-year-old defender Eder Militao.
According to the Daily Mail, the £20million-rated Brazilian – who can play at right-back, centre-half and also in a holding midfield role – is one of Guardiola’s top targets ahead of the summer window.
However, City are not the only club tracking the versatile star, with Portuguese giants Porto are also said to be interested.
