7 Types Of Men Every Women Should Avoid Falling For
Both genders are known to play very specific roles in their own lives and in the lives of other people.
For men, they are known to be fathers, sons, brothers, and protectors. While a lot of men are expected to give into the patriarchal expectations that society sets for them, this isn’t always going to be a good thing.
A lot of men can get carried away with their roles and it can make for a very toxic and misogynistic relationship experience for the women.
So that’s why it would be in the best interest of the ladies to avoid dating men who espouse these particular roles:
1. The Dad
Imagine dating your dad. Disgusting, right? That’s essentially the guy you’re dating when you choose to fall in love with The Dad. He is going to want to limit your freedoms as much as possible even though he says he’s doing it out of love.
While usually, your boyfriend should share a romantic love with you, The Dad’s love is more paternal in nature. So unless you’re comfortable with dating a person who is going to remind you of your father, it would be best for you to just steer clear from dating The Dad.
2. The Rebel
His tortured and damaged soul may seem very appealing at first. His rebellious ideas and unique thoughts are always very interesting to you. But underneath all of that mysteriousness and stoicism is just another man who feels lost and is struggling to find his way in the world.
If you’re really serious about falling in love with someone, make sure that it’s a man who at least has his life on track.
You can’t afford to be dating someone who is still raging against the machine while simultaneously has to rely on welfare to survive. Get yourself a responsible guy.
3. The Fake Good Guy
This is the trickiest guy you could ever date. At face value, this man is the kind of guy that you would expect to want to be with for the rest of your life. But underneath that glorious looking shell is someone who is merely putting up a façade of what he thinks others expect from him.
He is the kind of guy that you could bring home to meet your parents, but when it’s just the two of you alone, he completely shuts off and becomes someone else. He doesn’t really have a real personality because he is too busy trying to be what other people want him to be.
4. The Hero
A lot of ladies are taught at very early ages to always wait for their knight in shining armor. It’s depicted in stories wherein damsels in distress are always left helpless to their situations. But that should no longer be the case. Women shouldn’t have to wait for The Hero to go after what they want.
Sure, it would be great for you to date a guy who supports you and helps you whenever you stumble. But you shouldn’t be dating someone who is going to do everything for you so you don’t have to lift a finger.
That is only going to teach you how to be co-dependent and you never want that. You always want to be able to rely on yourself in some shape or form.
5. The Corporate Slave
Sure, he brings in the big bucks, but is he going to be able to bring anything else to the table? Remember that money isn’t everything in life. Sure.
You are going to be able to keep yourself busy with all the fancy things that your man is going to be able to buy you. But when all the material joy is gone, what left is there to cherish about your relationship? While it is important to be financially secure in a relationship, it is just as important to be with someone who is able to engage and connect with you on an emotional level.
The Corporate Slave will be too tied up with his career to be able to pay you any attention.
6. The Immature One
He’s stuck in Neverland where he has decided to never mature. He’s still the kind of guy who spends most of his time playing video games and lounging around the house.
He doesn’t understand what it means to be financially responsible or secure. Nor does he really get the implications of being in a long-term relationship. He’s still coasting through life as if he were a kid without any major responsibilities.
7. The Seductive Master
As difficult as it may be to resist the advances of The Seductive Master, try your absolute best to do so. He is a master at seduction and you are only setting yourself up for heartbreak if you let yourself fall in love with him.
He is interested in seducing all kinds of women; not just you. So unless you’re willing to share your man, you might as well date someone else.
Have you been with any of the above?
