road to stardom ep 5-8

Episode 5

I quickly collect it and ran down to the nearest mama-put junction, after I had filled my empty Tommy with something solid, I head home and start starring at the stuff..
Heywhy : David! Wetin happen? Why you de look the rob bottle like say you de watch movie inside?
Me : guy na one mama give me this stuff o.. 
Heywhy : which mama?

Me : I no even know her na my first time of seeing her be dis..
Heywhy : wetin she say make you do with am? 
Me : she say mah lick am finish this night ni..
Heywhy : and what are you waiting for?
Me : I de fear ni, you know say na wicked world we de, make she no come kill me for young age ni..
Heywhy : you are right but at the same time, she fit be angel o, cus I de hear story of how people mistakenly help old people not knowing they are angels and at the end of the day them go dash dem something.. my guy lick am note go happen..

‎ I quickly licked every drop of it as Heywhy had said,  as we were busy discussing  my phone rang, but the called turned out to be a stranger so I didn’t pick for the first attempt, the person called for the second time so I decided to pick the call..

Me : hello! 
Caller : hello David, how are you doing? *female voice*
Me : am okay, please who is this? 
Caller : so you can’t guess my voice on phone? 
Me : am sorry, am not good at guessing please just tell me who you are..
Caller : ok it’s me folake..
Me : oh! Folake how are you? Sorry I didn’t notice it was you..
Fola ; it’s nothing, just calling to say hi!
Me : thank you so much folake..how is daddy and mummy? 

Fola : they are all fine..
Me : ok my regards to them..
Fola : ok! Less I forgot, I will be coming to alapere area tomorrow, hope you won’t mind if I branched your place?
Me : oh! No, that’s not a problem feel free to come anytime.. 
Fola : ok thank you..
after we end the conversation, heywhy was busy starring at me as if I was doing something strange but I don’t even care about what he feels.  

Few minutes later before I vacate my bed, I picked my music piece and read through them, after I had done my personal rehearsal I prayed and go straight to bed.. 

Around 2am in the morning I went out to ease myself . When I stepped outside, I feel the harsh touch of the cold wind beating all around  my naked body like a samba drummer. I walked for a while till I hit the bathroom, suddenly I start  hearing some faint whisper  oozing out of the bathroom but I don’t bother to check, I did what I went for and return to my room.. 

Things was getting boring so I decide to play my guitar a bit until sleep finally comes.. while I was  playing several thoughts was dazzling across the length and breath of my head like a canoe above the surface of river, paddling and dancing with fist of fury.

I noticed some strange movement in my room, immediately I stop playing, I stood up and walk around but couldn’t see anything so I resume my playing, yet again I noticed something moving but this time I did not stop playing, I saw the plate on my table moving and the water in it start popping up. 

I quickly dropped my guitar and screamed out loud,
I opened my eyes and everything looked as normal as it was. I looked at the wall clock and it was exactly 2am..
“Omo na dream sha!” I said out loud.. one thing about me is that, when ever am having any form of pressure the only thing I run to is my guitar, so I quickly pulled it to myself and start playing. Few minutes later I doze off..

Episode 6

The next morning I woke up the sound of my phone’s ringing tone, I sluggishly dragged the phone to myself and a gave a faint spy at the phone’s bright screen. 
“Oh! It fola ” I quickly pick the call..
Me : fola! Good morning *yawning*
Fola : David! Where are you? 
Me : hmm? You are asking me where I am at this hour of the day?
Fola : yes! Cus your voice still sound shaky and weak as if you just woke up from the bed..

Me : yes nah! I still de untop bed, na your call wake me self.. 
Fola : hmmm! OK sha! Anyways I called to inform me that I will soon be at your area. 
Me : oh! So fast? I thought you will come around something 12 or 1.. 
Fola : it’s pass 12 already.. I will call you when I get to alapere. 

I quickly checked my time and it was 15 minute to 1pm, “jesu! “I screamed and rushed down to my bathroom, I quickly arranged the room, I packed out all the dirty plates and wash them ,despite the fact that heywhy was the one who messed up everywhere he don’t even bother to help me out, but I don’t even mind cus I know say na me get visitor..

In few minutes time the room was set and everything was well arranged, fola called to inform me that she was around so I will went out to get her in, Monday my neighbour saw us and he gave me a secret wink. I looked at him and smile as I walk her in.
Me : fola, so what can I offer you? 
Fola : water..
Me : which kind water be that? .. abeg no come form omo commissioner for here o, we na ghetto Boyz so shine ur eyes for here..

Fola : am serious that’s what I need.. OK just get me any soft drink of your choice I will take it.. 
Me : ok! (I quickly dashed out of my room)
I got to musa’s kiosk and I get some chilled Malta Guinness for her, when I returned back to my room, I saw her playing with my guitar..” do you love playing guitar? ” I asked as I opened the drink and drop a glass cup beside it..

Fola : yes! I love it when people play it but I don’t know how to play it sha..
Me : do you mind if I teach you? 
Fola : no! But am not sure I can know it, it’s difficult..
Me : common! It’s very simple and easy, you can do it if you are ready to learn..(i quickly pulled the guitar from her and started doing some free-hand exercise) 

She just keep mute and watched me as I freestyle 2face African queen, though I purposely played the song to make here fall ni, before I could complete the song she placed her left arm across my neck and threw a seducing smile at me, immediately I stop playing and I look straight into her eyes.. 

Me : fola! See every time I look into your eyes, I see my paradise. The stars are shining bright up in the sky painting and displaying words of desire, I always dream of a day when it will be just you and I walking across the red carpet down to the alter. 
Fola please just let me build my life around you and be the one to make you smile when ever you are sad, I Wana be the one to   hold you tight whenever you feel lonely.. fola please will you be mine?

Episode 7

Immediately she remove her hand from my neck and she didn’t utter a word. I looked into her eyes and I noticed she was short of words, so I quickly grabbed the opportunity..

Me : fola, please just give me the chance and I will prove to you that I truly love you.. .. (I quickly go on my kneel)
Fola : sorry I can’t.. I don’t really trust you guyz..
Me : *ha! See this girl wan form hard to get ni sha* I said within me… Like a bone within the passage of my throat came  your words of abjure to my heart.. (i quickly pretend as if am crying )

Fola : ok av heard you, but do you really love me?
Me : fola! As far I breath , as long as still open my eyes to see the beautiful stars glowing across the sky I will always love you. 
Fola : ok! David, I will be yours.. but please don’t let me down..

I quickly jump up and hug her tight, I pull her head close to mine and planted a wet kiss on her lips, we kissed for about five minutes, then we heard a knock on the door.. “chai! Who be this idiot whey dem send come nah?” I said within me.. 

I reluctantly stood up and check who was there,I opened the inner door and looked from the net and I saw ebuka my neighbour’s son, I feel like punching him from inside but I quickly calm myself. 
Ebuka : Bros, my mummy said you should come and help her put on the gen.
Me : which gen? Go tell her say I busy (I said furiously and went in)

Fola : David, my dad is already calling me, please I have to go now.. but I have a gift for you..
Me : what’s that?
Fola : remember you told me about the phone they stole from you? 
Me : yes!
Fola : I bought you a new one to help you in recording your newly composed songs.. as a musician you need a good phone..

Me : haba! Fola, I never asked you to get me a phone nah. . 
Fola : don’t worry, am just trying to help you..
She stood up and we both walked out, I followed her till she entered her car ,she removed a white polythene bag from the backseat and she gave it to me, I checked and it was a IPhone 6s, I was so excited that I almost kissed her publicly, but I quickly control myself.. she entered her car and drove off. 

On my way back, ‎I noticed everyone starring at me but I don’t even care I just walk pass them. I got in and I quickly inserted my sim into the phone, during the process Monday entered..

Monday : hmmmm! Baddo.(he said putting his two hand up)
Me : wetin do baddo?
Monday : nigga! Where you see this phone nah?
Me : na my Bae dash me..
Monday : Nawa o,you just use guitar and sweet voice de scatter girl head for here. Nawa o.. as I take de see the girl so, her papa go get money wella o
Me : ehen naw… you no see her ride? Her paleh (father) na commissioner o..

Monday : chai! David abeg which juju you use take catch her.. na im be say our own don better o, just de use her gain wetin you want, make sure you collect as much as possible money for her hand to support your music career and if you don gain enough make you dish her… you know all dose rich men pikin Sabi form after dem help person..

I noticed I was sitting on the new phone fola brought for me,so I quickly remove it and press the home key forgetting that the phone was on voice record for about 20 minute..

Episode 8

The next day was Sunday so I woke very early and I get prepared for church service, few minutes later I was at church and the service went well and interesting. After the service folakemi called to asked me where I was and I told her am outside, she quickly rushed down to where I was standing and she started throwing a suspicious smile at me..

Me : what? “I asked with a surprise look”
Fola : guess what? *still smiling *
Me : common! You know am not good at that..
Fola : ok! I will help you out, I told my dad about you yesterday evening and he decide to sponsor you.
Me : jezzz! Folake!!! You are such an angel, mehn! (I hugged her tight forgetting am in front of our church) 

Fola : David calm down, we are still in the church compound (she said pulling herself from me)
Me : oh! Sorry no vex! Na over joy de do me.. so what’s next now?
Fola : he said you should see him at our place tomorrow morning before he go out, and don’t forget to come with one of your audio cd track..
Me : I won’t! Thank you Fola, you are more than a helper to me, you are just like a saint..

Fola : hmmmm! He don start, Mr sugar voice, let me start going don’t forget to come very early tomorrow o
Me : I dare not.. 
After she left I quickly board a bus and head straight home, I met heywhy busy playing Godwin by korede on his phone . I jumped up as I entered and started dancing to the song with much joy, heywhy was surprise so he stopped the music..

Me : nigga wetin nah? Why you stop the song?
Heywhy : ask google… why you de dance like goat whey dem turn hot water for him head this night? 
Me : ask Google..
Heywhy : oya no vex! Wetin happen..
Me : guy! Before I go fit tell you mah carry you go flex make girls rock your dickson, make that your dead head scatter first…
Heywhy : * laughing * madman, abeg tell me wetin happen jorh..

Me : guy go put on something cool, make we go enjoy ourselves first..
Heywhy : ok o, (he quickly jumped up and start putting on something good)
Few minutes later heywhy was set,so we both walked down to the nearest guest house… we both ordered for the drink of our choice and we continue the conversation. 
Heywhy : oya I de wait.. (he said with mouth full of meat)
Me : guy! I don make am, I don blow… see God don finally answer my prayers…hehehehe..*laughing*

Heywhy : oya naaah! You de put my spirit for suspense o! 
Me : guy.. shey you Sabi dat my babe folake? (he respond with a node) ehen! You know say her papa na commissioner for this state, she go beg her papa say make him support my music career. And guess what! His father has agreed. 
Heywhy : heeeeeeeey!!! *he stood up with a bottle of beer in his hand and started dancing etigi to the ongoing music *
Me : naso my guy enjoy yourself, we don hammer! “Waiter abeg bring more drinks and meat make we high ” (I screamed) 
In few hours time we stopped drinking and we both return home, I slept comfortably like a baby..

The next morning I and heywhy had woke up around 5am to get prepared for the visit, few hours later folake sent me the address. We quickly rush out and made our way to the bus garage, in few hours time we both land   on lekki face 2.. 
Heywhy : “omo see fine fine houses, nawa o. Na here dem dey bury our money put sha” he screamed! 
Me : nawa o! Na dose people de enjoy this Lagos o.. . 

Folake called to ask where I was and I told her am with heywhy  at the entrance of the estate, she quickly rushed down to get us in. We walked for some few minutes before we finally locate a white duplex with a red rooftop..

She led the way in and we calmly followed her, the gate was fully designed with golden iron at the top part of it..I have never entered such a building that was smelling of class like this before, from the gate to the main house were two rolls of flowers. There was a roundabout some meters before the main entrance and flowers where planted roundabout it too ,there was a massive car park right in the left corner of the building filled with different luxurious cars.. “blood of basirah” heywhy screamed ! Omo see rides! I seconded…
